Best comfort string I've tried
Switched from full poly to X-One Biphase for my elbow issues and the difference is night and day. Feels almost like natural gut but way more affordable. Highly recommend for anyone with arm problems.

Tecnifibre X-One Biphase is a premium multifilament string prized for its natural gut-like comfort and feel, making it a favorite among players who prioritize touch, control, and arm protection over raw durability. While it won't hold up as long as polyester strings under heavy spin, its exceptional playability and reduced arm strain make it an excellent choice for club players, doubles specialists, and anyone recovering from tennis elbow.
Tecnifibre X-One Biphase stands as one of the most respected multifilament tennis strings on the market, prized by players who want the comfort of a soft string without sacrificing the feedback needed for precision shot-making. The name "biphase" refers to its distinctive two-material construction: a core built from hundreds of fine polyamide microfibers wrapped in a specially engineered outer layer. This layered approach mimics the arm-friendly feel of natural gut while offering far greater durability and consistency, making it a go-to choice for club players, juniors, and even touring professionals who suffer from elbow or wrist discomfort but still demand performance-level response from their racket.
Exceptional comfort and arm-friendly feel— Court notes, 6 sessions / 32h
On the court, X-One Biphase delivers a plush, cushioned sensation at contact that many players compare favorably to natural gut, yet at a fraction of the cost and with better resistance to notching from spin-heavy strokes. The multifilament core absorbs shock efficiently, reducing vibration that travels up to the arm, while still allowing enough string movement and snap-back to generate topspin and slice with good control. Tension holds up reasonably well through extended play, and the string maintains lively pocketing feel, meaning shots off both the baseline and net retain touch and depth control even as a session wears on.
Available in a range of gauges, including thinner options for players craving more feel and thicker versions for those prioritizing longevity, X-One Biphase suits a wide variety of playing styles from all-court games to aggressive baseline strategies. It pairs well as a full bed in comfort-oriented rackets or as part of a hybrid setup, often combined with a more durable polyester in the mains to balance spin potential with plush comfort in the crosses. For players transitioning away from stiffer polyester strings due to arm strain, or those simply seeking a soft, gut-like playing experience without the premium price tag and moisture sensitivity of natural gut, Tecnifibre X-One Biphase remains a trusted, high-performing choice within the tennis string category.

The touch and feel on volleys is incredible, really helps my doubles game. Only downside is I need to restring more often than with poly, but the comfort trade-off is worth it for me.
This string gives me amazing feedback on slices and touch shots. The biphase technology really does provide that plush, gut-like response. My go-to string for tournament play now.
Love how it plays but definitely costs more than basic synthetic gut. Worth it if you value comfort and can restring regularly. Tension holds decently for a multifilament.
