Great control and feel
Switched from an older Speed model and this racket feels more refined. The control on flat shots is excellent, and spin generation is very consistent.
The HEAD Speed MP is a superb all-around racket that rewards technique with precision, spin, and control.

The HEAD Speed MP is a superb all-around racket that rewards technique with precision, spin, and control. Ideal for intermediate to advanced players seeking a stable, all-court weapon, it strikes a fine balance between maneuverability and plow-through power, making it one of the most versatile frames in its class.
The HEAD Speed MP has become a staple in the bags of aggressive baseline players and all-court competitors who want precision without sacrificing the ability to generate serious pace. Part of the iconic Speed series made famous by Novak Djokovic, the MP, or Mid Plus, version features a 100 square inch head that strikes a balance between the control-oriented Speed Pro and the more forgiving Speed models. Constructed with Graphene 360+ technology, the frame delivers a stable yet responsive feel, allowing players to swing freely while maintaining exceptional directional control on both groundstrokes and net play.
Excellent blend of control and spin potential— Court notes, 31 sessions / 44h
Weighing in at a manageable 300 grams unstrung, the Speed MP is engineered for intermediate to advanced players who have developed a full, fast swing and want a racket that rewards clean ball striking. The 16x19 string pattern promotes generous spin potential, giving players the confidence to hit with heavy topspin while still being able to flatten out shots for winners. HEAD's Auxetic technology, integrated into the frame's construction, adjusts string movement upon impact to enhance feel and control in critical hitting zones, particularly beneficial during touch shots, volleys, and serves where precision matters most.
Beyond its technical specifications, the HEAD Speed MP is prized for its versatile, all-around performance that adapts to varied playing styles and court surfaces. Whether executing heavy topspin rallies from the baseline, transitioning forward for crisp volleys, or unleashing powerful first serves, this racket provides the connective feedback and maneuverability that competitive players demand. Its balanced specs make it equally suitable for singles specialists and doubles players who need quick reflexes at net, while the durable frame construction ensures consistent performance match after match, season after season, solidifying its reputation as one of the most trusted rackets in modern tennis.

Took a few sessions to adjust to the head-light balance, but once dialed in, it's fantastic for aggressive baseline play and net approaches.
The Auxetic technology really does make a difference on off-center hits. Feels forgiving yet precise. Highly recommend for competitive players.
Coming from a beginner frame, this took some adjustment but now my game has improved significantly in terms of shot placement and topspin.
