Cheap fix for annoying ping sound
Popped this into my strings before a weekend tournament and the difference in sound was immediate. My racket used to sound really harsh on off-center hits, now it's much more muted. Great value for the price.

The Wilson Pop Dampener is a simple, budget-friendly accessory that does its job well for players wanting a quieter, softer feel at contact. It won't transform your game, but for a couple of dollars it's a low-risk addition to any racket setup, especially for players sensitive to string vibration or court noise.
The Wilson Pop Dampener is a compact string vibration dampener designed for tennis players who want to fine-tune the feel and sound of their racket on contact. Crafted from Wilson's signature silicone-based material, this small accessory slips easily between the main strings near the throat of the racket, where it absorbs the harsh vibrations that travel up the frame and into the player's hand and arm after every strike. Its playful "pop" branding reflects both the audible dampening effect it provides—softening that sharp pinging sound strings make on impact—and the snappy, distinctive shape that sets it apart from generic dampeners on the market.
Noticeably softens harsh string impact noise— Court notes, 6 sessions / 59h
Beyond its acoustic benefits, the Wilson Pop Dampener serves a practical role in reducing arm fatigue and discomfort during extended play sessions. Tennis elbow and general arm strain are common complaints among recreational and competitive players alike, often exacerbated by the constant micro-vibrations transmitted through poorly cushioned strings. By installing this dampener, players can noticeably soften the shock delivered to their wrist, elbow, and shoulder, making it a smart addition for anyone logging long hours on the court, whether during weekend matches or daily training drills. The dampener's design also allows for quick, tool-free installation, meaning players can pop it in or swap it out between sets without needing a stringing machine or professional assistance.
Available in a range of fun colors and patterns, the Wilson Pop Dampener also allows players to add a touch of personal style to their racket setup, turning a purely functional accessory into a small expression of personality on the court. Its durable construction ensures it withstands repeated match play without cracking or losing its shape, making it a reliable long-term addition to any racket bag. Compact enough to carry as a spare, this dampener is equally suited for singles specialists focused on baseline power and doubles players who rely on quick net exchanges, proving that even the smallest piece of tennis gear can make a meaningful difference in comfort, control, and overall enjoyment of the game.

Simple dampener, easy to install, stays in place most of the time. Lost one during a hard serve session but that's expected with this style. Buying a multipack from now on.
It softens the sound a bit and takes a little edge off the vibration, but if you're expecting a huge change in feel, temper expectations. Still, for the price it's worth trying.
I've tried several brands and keep coming back to this one. Fits snugly, doesn't rattle around, and holds up over multiple sessions before I need a replacement.
Nothing fancy, just a reliable little dampener that quiets down my racket. Comes in a pack so I always have spares in my bag.
