The verdict 4.5/5.0

The HEAD Gravity Pro is a precision instrument built for intermediate to advanced players who prioritize control, spin, and maneuverability over raw power. Its Graphene 360+ tech and 16x19 pattern make it a favorite among all-court and aggressive baseline players who already have solid technique. While it may punish mishits and isn't ideal for beginners, its balance of feel and performance makes it a standout choice in the control-racket category.

The long read

HEAD Gravity Pro in depth

The HEAD Gravity Pro is a precision-engineered tennis racket built for advanced and competitive players who demand control without sacrificing maneuverability. Part of HEAD's celebrated Gravity line, this racket features a distinctive spin-friendly design paired with a slightly more headlight balance and a stiffer, more stable frame than its Gravity siblings, making it a favorite among all-court players who like to dictate rallies with flat, penetrating shots as well as heavy topspin. Its Graphene 360+ technology redistributes weight to the handle and the head, enhancing both stability on off-center hits and the racket's overall responsiveness during fast exchanges at the net or from the baseline.

Excellent blend of control and spin potential— Court notes, 28 sessions / 60h

Constructed with a 100 square inch head size and a control-oriented 16x19 string pattern, the Gravity Pro strikes a balance between forgiveness and precision, allowing players to generate bite on the ball while still maintaining the feel needed for delicate touch shots and angled winners. Weighing in at a demanding but rewarding spec—typically around 315 grams unstrung—the frame rewards a fuller swing and proper technique, delivering exceptional plow-through on deep, powerful groundstrokes. The Auxetic technology built into the shaft cleverly tightens the string bed on off-center hits, improving spin potential and consistency even when contact isn't perfectly centered on the strings.

Aesthetically, the Gravity Pro carries HEAD's signature blue and orange colorway, reflecting the brand's modern, athletic identity while signaling its association with top touring professionals who have used the Gravity series in competition. Beyond its looks, the racket's overall feel is often described as connected and communicative, giving players confidence to swing freely while trusting the frame's inherent stability. Ideal for intermediate to advanced competitors seeking a racket that rewards aggressive, spin-heavy play without feeling unwieldy, the HEAD Gravity Pro stands out as a versatile, performance-driven choice in the tennis and racket sports category.

Best control racket I've used

Switched from a Babolat Pure Drive and the difference in control is night and day. The Gravity Pro lets me place shots exactly where I want, especially on my one-handed backhand. Takes some adjustment but worth it.

Great for topspin players

As a heavy topspin baseliner, this racket complements my game perfectly. The 16x19 pattern really grips the ball. Only wish it had a touch more built-in power for shorter points.

Tournament-ready performance

I've been using this for club tournaments for six months now. The stability on serves and volleys is impressive, and it feels incredibly solid at net. Highly recommend for competitive players.

Solid but demanding

This racket rewards good technique. If your swing isn't developed, you'll feel it. For me as an intermediate player working on my game, it's been a great tool to improve consistency.
